It’s been a wintery kind of winter here in Dalgety Bay this year. And I’m yearning for some Florida sunshine.

Of course, Sonya has a different take on this year-long sunshine, being able to enjoy it day in day out. She’s all about the A/C and the dips in the pool! But for me, I can’t wait to get out of my woolly socks and layered knitwear.

And I’m not the only one: the weather is something I get asked about a lot by guests… it’s not just a British thing!

I thought it might be useful to try to illustrate the weather on a simple chart it’s easy for guests and prospective guests to refer to.

So we’ve created this handy chart which illustrates the typical average daily hours of sunshine and average minimum and maximum temperatures in Florida throughout the year. I’m hoping that it will be really useful… helping guests to decide when to travel, what to pack (whether you do really need that extra cardi for the evenings) and plan excursions, etc.

I’d love to hear your feedback. And if you’ve got any ideas about other information that’d be useful, or other facts you’d like me to send before your trip, then please send me your suggestions.

In the meantime, I’m just going to keep looking at all those lovely orange sunshine symbols and try to resist the temptation to book a flight today! ;0)
