Celebration is a picturesque lakeside town in the northwest of Osceola County (near Kissimmee) with a leisurely ambiance – perfect for relaxed, family evening. It’s about a thirty minute drive from the centre of Orlando, but worth the effort. Our family has spent many lovely evenings here. There is a great selection of restaurants – many with al fresco seating – plus wonderful shops to browse and a Sunday craft market. Our favourite restaurants are Thai Thani, Columbia Restaurant, and the Imperium Food & Wine Bar (where the live music is really good). After the meal, we’ll head down to the ice-cream parlour, where we sit in a rocking chair watching the kids play in the splash fountain nearby. A perfect way to end a day.
A Floridian Rodeo
There are a number of Rodeos in the Orlando area, including one right in the heart of Kissimmee. For an unusual and authentic evening of bull riding, barrel racing and roping you have to experience a show here! Steak Dinners with beans, slaw and a roll are just twelve dollars – one of the cheapest and most thrilling meals out in Orlando! Yee-ha!
