Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World is the most visited amusement park complex in the World – and for good reason. Disney World Orlando is actually made up of four theme parks and two later parks, plus hotels, dining and entertainment venues.
Universal Theme Parks’ main attractions have to be the Harry Potter themed ‘worlds’ – one at the original Universal Studios Park and the other at Universal Islands of Adventure. This means, if you do have Harry Potter fans in the family, multi-park tickets might be your best bet.
Busch Gardens is one of the largest zoos in North America but, this being Florida, there are also some amazing thrill rides and fantastic family shows to enjoy too! Although in Tampa, it’s easy to get to and well worth a visit, particularly if you’re travelling with animal lovers. From Orlando, it’s about an hour’s drive south-east down Interstate 4 (the I4).
Legoland Florida is situated in Winter Haven, Florida, roughly halfway between Orlando and Tampa. It’s about a 45 minute journey from Orlando down the I4 and then Highway 27. It’s actually two parks; there is a Legoland Water Park on the site too.
Alongside Mickey Mouse and the Disney World parade, the shows at SeaWorld have to be one of the most iconic images of an Orlando holiday. They don’t disappoint!
