Nowhere beats Orlando for Holiday fun. Here’s the Ellis Exclusive Villas list of three of our favourite Orlando Christmas institutions.
Now Snowing at Celebration
Those who read this blog regularly will know that I’m a big fan of the pretty town of Celebration.
It is a really attractive town to wander around all year round, but it really goes the extra mile during the Holidays.
You can have your photo taken with Santa, take a horse-drawn carriage ride, listen to the strolling Holiday Carollers, have a skate around the ice rink, and enjoy the other entertainment on offer.
Perhaps the highlight is the snowfall that happens every night through December – including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve – until 31st. “Snow” falls nightly at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
Ice! At Gaylord Palms
ICE! is an indoor winter wonderland at the Marriot Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center.
Each year, the hotel puts on a magnificent display of hand-carved ice sculptures. This walk-through holiday attraction is kept at a chilly 9 degrees so you need to wrap up warm – especially if you are going to enjoy the Alpine Rush Snow Tubing as well.
Every year has a different theme and this year’s is a Charlie Brown Christmas.
Enjoy the four ice slides, the Frostbite Factory — a live carving zone and then the final room, a breath-taking Nativity scene carved from crystal clear ice.
Magic at the Magic Kingdom
The Christmas lights at the Magic Kingdom have to be seen at least once in your life! There simply is nowhere else like it.
The park and shops are full of holiday lights, decorations and gifts – if this doesn’t get you in the holiday spirit we don’t know what will.
Just one stop from Magic Kingdom park on the Disney Monorail, the Grand Floridian hotel harks back to a golden age.
The warming holiday scent of Gingerbread will great you from across the lobby if you visit during the holiday period – thanks to gingerbread demonstrations, shop and a giant gingerbread house.
It’s difficult to resist treating yourself!
